Preparedness Framework v2

OpenAI · Preparedness Framework · v2 · 2025

How it maps to Article 44-B

OpenAI's Preparedness Framework tracks defined categories of frontier risk (such as biological/chemical, cybersecurity, and AI self-improvement) and scores each model on a capability scale, publishing the results as a scorecard. Deployment and further scaling are gated on those ratings — high or critical capability in a tracked category requires specified safeguards, and a cross-functional Safety Advisory Group reviews findings before release. The tracked-category scorecard plus its evaluation methodology illustrate the 44-B duties to assess catastrophic risk, evaluate models before deployment, and disclose how risk is managed.
